Next Step? Bake!

We’re not master bakers, but we’re excited to try basically anything with our sourdough starters. We’ll tell you about them as we go.

Here are some things to remember, especially if you are a kid or baking with a kid:

  • Baking bread is fun. And bread made at home, by you, is just better. Even when it isn’t as good as something you might buy at a bakery, it’s better. That’s the rule.
  • Sure, it’s great to get really good at one recipe or style of loaf by carefully recording and trying to work out what’s working and what’s not, but then you might only ever learn one thing. So rather try lots of different things. Remember, even when it’s not as good, it’s better!
  • For bread, we think small loaves are great. You’ll probably end up eating them really fast, which means you’ll bake more, so you can have more fun!
